This North Vancouver 72 inch diameter water-line pipe and walking platform bridge project was contracted directly from Metro Vancouver and completed in 2010. In addition to the Capilano Pipe Bridge, Jewel has completed two other pedestrian bridge projects, School House Bridge in Coquitlam and North Alouette River Greenway Bridge in Maple Ridge.
Jewel installed 1.86 km of 7 foot diameter pipe line running along Capilano road in North Vancouver. The pipeline installation stretched from the Capilano water shed to Edgemont Blvd , where it ends with two chambers. June 2007 to Dec 2011. Total cost of scope for all phases in five contracts $4.5 million. Total of approximately 10km long of 72” diameter pipeline including 9-line valve chambers, 2 cross over chambers, all the control valve piping as well as all the tie in work for Metro Vancouver.
Located at Kwoiek Creek, BC the Boston Bar project is a hydroelectric penstock project successfully completed in 2013. CRT is the general contractor and end user is Innergex. Jewel performed the welding, lining & coating of 7 km’s of 76 inch and 80 inch diameter pipes and completed approximately 460 joint welds.
Sept 2014 to Dec 2015. Cost of scope $1.2 million. 1.1 km of 144’’ butt welded pipeline, including lining and coating. Northeast end of Harrison Lake. The crew consisted of 15 personnel during peak construction.
In 2019 we were hired to do an experimental repair test on the base of a transmission tower “Grillage”. This will assist BCH to develop a specification on how to repair them in the future.
April 2014 to Jan 2016. Cost of scope $2.3 million. 60” of 4.5km pipeline with control valve chambers through busy urban Vancouver areas.
July 2014 to Oct 2015. Cost of scope $3 million.
