Pipe diameter of 72” that was pushed into the harbour with Permalock fittings. After the installation of the pipe all the joints needed welding and coatings. This was challenging as the pipe was under water.
In 2019 we were hired to do an experimental repair test on the base of a transmission tower “Grillage”. This will assist BCH to develop a specification on how to repair them in the future.
Jewel was hired in 2019 to install access to the inside of this penstock and facilitate an internal inspection. In 2020, we have been working with the customer and Engineer to plan a complete replacement of this asset.
